Nocturnal Visitation by Julian-Faylona Nocturnal Visitation by Julian-Faylona
I remember many years ago back when I was in college, the one and only time I experienced what they call as, Sleep Paralysis, I remember clearly having a sort of lucid dream. In fact it felt so real that I was fully conscious that time and I was able to consciously control my movements. I saw this silhouette of a tall being standing at my doorway (strangely my door was missing). Then after that I felt being pushed back to my bed and couldn't move my limbs and felt as if I was pinned down. Before that happened I sat up from my bed quickly when I saw the tall thing. Then I realized that I got up leaving my body behind, after which I felt as if I was being sucked back like a vacuum into my body. Then there was absolute darkness. I was completely awake but all I see is a black void. I couldn't open my mouth and my limbs aren't responding. I wasn't sure how long the whole episode took but when I actually opened my eyes for real, it was already morning, with my room bathed in sunlight. This is exactly the view exactly from where I am at my bed, and the setting when it happened. I left my PC on that night. Sleep Paralysis is weird and can be an absolutely frightening experience.

Creepypasta much? Have you ever had similar experiences?

Unusual...  Were there any long-term consequences?  Any reason for this that you could tell?  Nice piece, by the way, I find the colors and aura interesting and creating a strange atmosphere.

It only happened once. When you go to bed unusually tired and exhausted, there's a chance this could happen.

I too I had a hypnagogic paralysis a few months ago. I was asleep, when I woke up. But when I tried to open my eyes, or move my limbs I could not do it. As I tried desperately to regain control of my body felt as if there was someone in the room where I was. I was afraid of him, and I felt the adrenaline throughout the body for fear, because I felt that there was someone and I could not defend myself in any way since I was paralyzed.  I knew there was something I could not move. Eventually I woke up completely, and looking around there was none.

I've had something similar happen to me twice although I didn't see anything. My room was dark I wasn't sure

if I was awake or asleep and I couldn't move. I didn't see anything but I had the feeling like I wasn't alone.

I also had this feeling that something awful was happening

and I just felt terrified.

When it happened I kept trying to say the name 'Jesus'. It just felt very important that I do that.

I felt like my entire face was swollen and that something was blocking me, but I kept it up until the word

came. After that I kept saying the Name over and over until the feeling went away

oh trust me, you never want to have one. don't make yourself too exhausted during the day because it happens when you become too tired.

I had kind of the same thing happen to me. It was nothing new, Sleep Paralysis was just a normal thing when I was younger. But when I was 17 or 18 and I had a dream about my dead friend. He was gone for at least 2 years at the time and I never really on a dream about him. He know just sit there and basically watch me (I usually lived alone back then and he would keep me company some nights) as I slept and wake up. The creepy ones I have are Deja Vu, mainly what my dreams were, even finding his lifeless body. Our brains are frightening and interesting devices.

the worst part is these episodes have to happen during the nocturnal hours which makes it extra scary... the brain is a big troll sometimes.

Yes always at night. Even when I take naps in the afternoons no dreams half the times. I've talk to many doctors and we agree on half the time its stress and worrying. A lot of time you don't even know your stressing about something. This dream you had I forgot what its called but its nothing to worry about. Its kind of like how our brains have evolve to see faces, that's why we can see faces in anything. I suffer from a psychosis but have been treated heavy for it. So I could tell you if you were going insane and you're not :)

Very strange to hear that, I have never heard of a happening like this that is caused by our brains.
My twinsister told me once there was a man (totally glowing in red) standing next to her bed watching at her, she was terrified... We prayed for it, it stopped.
It's funny that you are telling about recognising faces, I just saw a youtube video from 'Vsauce'  www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixQbCX… Look at 4:30 somewhere there he is talking about recognizing faces in anything.
But the word "evolve" is not a word i like to use for such things. Because I am a strong believer and seen to many facts about evolution and the lies it brings. Even better... I think evolution is one of the biggest lies in human history. It's indoctrinated trough the books in school where they talk about the earth as it should be millions and millions of years old while it's around 6/7000 years MAXIMUM (www.drdino.com) this guy has so many interesting video's about this, he takes the lies out of books and uses todays science in a clear perspective with the bible, it totally opens your eyes.
Anyway haha I am also going a bit off topic :P
But interesting talk with you I have to say ;)

i'm quite aware about Creation Today... although i'd be really careful about its contents, especially that Eric Hovind guy. he's known for being involved in shady things especially involving lots and lots of money. as a Christian myself i do not take him seriously as Eric makes lots of scientific errors especially about the age of the Earth and Universe, and his huge misguided precepts on evolution. he takes scriptures a bit too literally and that's very bad. plus we have to remember that he is pushing all of this weird ideas because he needs to make money of it (e.g. selling his materials). the scriptures do warn us sternly about such false teachers. just felt that i need to say this out. do dig out more info about him, you'll realize he's not a very honest person... :)

I am very interested in more information about your opinion or facts! It is true that the bible says that! but nowadays I more see that in other extremist behaviors.. They are also a bit extreme but also sober as far as I understoud his fathers video's. Maybe he is different then his father?

you can go to Youtube and search his name, especially the ones where he gets debunked by those who debated with him. and do look up articles over the net about him too. he is a pure fundamentalist who think that the Bible should be read as it is literally. the bible is not a science book and it was never intended to be by its various authors. for instance, Genesis is meant to be a parable rather than a literal account Adam and Eve are historical figures but they are not our first parents. scientifically we do not know who our first parents are. we must remember that the bible's authors came from an ancient Jewish culture 2000 years removed from our time and is very much alien to us today. therefore the bible's words are written according to the social environment and culture of its authors at that time. they love using parables to explain complex things. therefore the 7 days of creation is not to be taken literally unlike what Hovind teaches so vehemently in his DVDs. that and many other things. that's why Hovind and his ilk cannot be taken seriously.

note: if you would like to continue our conversation... just drop me a private message after this. it would be better. :)

Half the time its in the mind. Sometimes its cause by stress like I said and it can be cause by something as small as eating before sleeping. I'm not going into religions because I don't have one, but I am spiritual and believe in Humanity and all its flaws, some people call me a Shin Buddhism then some call me an Atheist but whatevers. All of them feel like labels and I'm not into labels. Everyone has their ways of dealing with things, praying works for some and others usually ignore. But I seen the dreams back then as more of me dealing with living alone and no parents. So I personally believe it comes from stress, worrying, eating before sleeping, being uncomfortable, and fear etc. And one of our basic fears is the dark, you can even said its the fear of the unknown.

But if you see it, pray for it ofcourse!

I guess when you experience this kind of stuff for the first time, you don't know what to make of it. your mind fires wildly. But I'm convinced this is nothing supernatural. My friends who had Sleep Paralysis describe similar things. The key is to calm down and you will sink back into the sleep state and synchronize with your body. Those who've experienced this several times told me to utter a prayer, I guess it works because it causes them to calm down.

Here in Southeast Asia lots of weird stuff happens from time to time (I live in a country where ancient pagan magic is still practiced by native locals, some despite being already converted). I've seen a possession once before in church. It was an eerie sight. But truly I do not fear this kind of stuffs, I'm more puzzled and curious most of the time. During the Taoist festival, it's a common sight to see acolytes in trance while impaled by thin metal bars. Weird stuff happens in this region but you learn to live with it.

I had a weird experience like that... I was in a mattress in the floor trying to sleep and the room was dark but the door was open and the hallway light was turned on. Then something took over my body and I jumped out of bed screaming and running, and in a blur I slammed against all the doors in the short hallway like I was trying desperetadly to open them (those were the doors to the other 2 living rooms and bathroom), next thing I know I was standing in the farthest door from my room with my hands on the handle like "wtf just happened???"
