The Visitation

I grew up with the typical classical Christian imagery of angels, being pretty and innocent. It's strange because biblical description of angels are a far cry from what we've been fed by the mainstream. They are abstract beings devoid of any tangible form, as they come from planes of higher dimensions, they distort reality, hence they would be nearly impossible to describe accurately. Those who lay eyes upom them could only describe them on the context of their own limited world views. In short, they're an absolute 'mind fuck' and Lovecraftian material. Any mortal being would certainly succumb to madness upon seeing them. It's no wonder these beings always tell their subjects to, "be not afraid".
